Somerset & Dorset Animal Rescue is a non-profitable organisation dedicated to improving the lives of unwanted animals. The rescue is run entirely by non-wage volunteers who juggle their full time jobs with the care of over 60 animals.
Our mission is to bring about the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction.
We were founded in a London coffee shop in 1824. The men present knew they were creating the world’s first animal welfare charity, but they couldn’t have imagined the size and shape that the charity would become today.
