Choosing an urn is a very personal thing and will depend on your own tastes and ideas, as well as the personality of your loved one.
It’s a good idea to consider what you intend to do with the urn. Would you wish to bury it, or place it in a columbarium niche in a garden of remembrance? Do you want to keep it at home and, if so, will it be indoors or outdoors? Do you want the urn hold to hold the complete ashes of your loved one, or will the ashes be shared between family members? Will some be scattered and some kept?
